World Cotton Research Conference — 6 The World Cotton Research Conference-6 will be held in Brazil in the city of Goiânia, Goiás from June 20-24, 2016. Brazil is the fifth largest producer of cotton in the world with a national average yield of cotton as high as 1,400 kg lint per hectare, only next to Australia and Israel. Cotton production in Brazil has moved from a small scale forming system in the north to the mid south where cotton is grow on large farms under highly mechanized production conditions. Brazil has an interesting success story to share with participants of the World Cotton Research Conference-6.
