Mr. Amit Agarwal is a seasoned finance professional with over 33 years of extensive experience spanning the Steel, Aviation, Retail, Real Estate, and Energy sectors. He has held the management position in leading organizations across diverse geographies, including JSW Steel, Jet Airways, Suzlon Energy Limited, Essar Group and Arcelor Mittal in the Long Carbon Segment. In these roles, he consistently served as a trusted partner to CEOs in driving operational efficiency, fostering value creation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks for the benefit of shareholders. Amit Agarwal has a proven track record of working with large corporations, where he has facilitated transformative turnarounds, steering businesses toward profitability and sustainability.

He is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Cost Accountant from the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants (ICWA). Further enhancing his expertise, he has completed the "CFO as a Strategic Partner" executive program at The Wharton School, Pennsylvania.

Throughout his career, Amit has worked with notable companies, including JSW Steel, Jet Airways, Suzlon Energy Limited, and Essar Group. Since joining Raymond Limited in 2020 as Group CFO during one of the organization's most challenging phases, Amit Agarwal has demonstrated remarkable leadership and strategic foresight. Under his guidance, Raymond transitioned from a heavily indebted entity with a market cap of Rs.1600cr to a net debt-free organization - achieving a market capitalization of INR 25000+ Crores which is almost 15x in just 4 years. He has been promoted to President - Chairman's Office, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the organization. In this role, he will support the Chairman in overseeing group-level performance and driving shareholder value creation. Apart from this, he is also part of the managing committee of DMA.

His contributions have earned him numerous prestigious accolades, including the ET CFO of the Year award and very recently awarded as Indian CFO icon of the Year 2024, underscoring his excellence in financial leadership and strategic management.
